- Prayer & Worship with Deacon Tracy started as a weekly family prayer line for the Williams Family in October 2019.
- It was started as a way to keep the family bond and ensure that they continued the legacy of prayer and faith that has sustained them through tough times.
- In December 2019, Deacon Tracy was led to open the prayer line to the public, with the goal of making sure everyone on the line felt like family.
- Who could have known that only 3 months later (March 2020), the entire country would be shut down for an entire year, due to the (Coronavirus) pandemic.
- Our Guest Prayer Warriors are requested for their powerful prayer ministry.
- This prayer line is not organized by a church or any religious organization... it is a community prayer line. Anyone who joins the line IS FAMILY. All are welcome.
- We try to remain within the 40 minutes allotted (9pm - 9:40pm, Eastern), but we occasionally go over by a few mins... and it is worth every minute.
WHO IS DEACON TRACY?
Deacon Tracy was born Tracy Andre' Williams in the Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina. This anointed Man of God and gifted artist/vocalist has dedicated his life to showing the love of God, sharing prayer as a strong tool of faith and giving praise EVERYWHERE he goes! He was ordained a Deacon in 2012 and is honored to carry that title because it is a title of "service".
Deacon Tracy is the fifth of eight siblings from the talented Williams Family. Both his mother and father have a long lineage of ministry and music that he proudly carries on. Deacon Tracy was always the low-key, laid-back person who often notes that he never saw himself in ministry in ANY capacity. He was most comfortable in the background, avoiding the glare of the spotlight. He was called to person-to-person, heart-to-heart ministry when his beloved mother, Evangelist Lucy Williams, was going through her cancer journey in 2016. Deacon Tracy notes that his mother saw the sincere and deep love of prayer, praise and ministry in him long before he recognized it.
The mantle was passed one Sunday morning, at church, when his mother, the church organist and choir director, was too weak to finish ministering through song. She passed the microphone to him and asked him to finish the song. He went forth in praise, worship and ministry in such a powerful way that he knew God was calling him to another level of ministry. Deacon Tracy has been proud to carry the mantle of prayer, praise and worship leader ever since. His ministry is dedicated to those outside the four walls of the church, as much as inside. He prays for guidance regarding who should be asked to be a prayer warrior each week. Although he is blessed to be associated with numerous powerful prayer warriors, Deacon Tracy always says that this isn’t his prayer line, it is a community prayer line that follows the will of God. And THAT is what he wants his legacy to be. An imperfect man whose primary goal in life is to do the will of God… perfectly.
