Our mission is to serve and support families. We offer services and programs that improve the lives of children (ages 1-18) and seniors (65 and up), the most vulnerable members of the family. We are committed to honoring the legacy of our founder by continuing her work as a humanitarian and servant-leader.
Lucy Virginia Williams was a humble missionary and humanitarian who dedicated her life to God and serving others.
For over 50 years, this selfless humanitarian, affectionately known as Missionary Williams, consistently went to senior centers, homeless shelters, hospitals, jails, to the sick & shut-in or wherever she was needed to minister to people through music, a message or simple human kindness. This devoted wife, mother and true servant-leader raised her seven children to be of service as well. Her children note; "from the time we could walk and talk, our mother taught us that being of service to others was a part of our responsibility to God and our fellow-man."
She shared her music and ministry in order to help people who were hurting and felt alone in this world. Her natural love and compassion for people drew her to those who were often looked upon as "less than" by society's standards. She affected so many people personally because she was sincere. She would help a homeless person as quickly as she would help a friend. Missionary Williams understood how issues like fear, depression, abuse, hopelessness, drugs and violence are destroying people's lives, and she tried to help as many people as she could.
This powerhouse vocalist and musician's musical roots started at age 5, with piano lessons from her mother, that developed into the musical legacy that she has passed on to her children. She was a pianist, organist and minister of music at New Bethel COGIC for over 50 years and loved her New Bethel family dearly. This humble servant-leader's life is a testimony to the power of God, Prayer, Faith, Family and Music.
Your generous gift will help us fund our mission to serve and support families in need. Together, we can make a difference. Thank you.
