LUCY V. WILLIAMS FOUNDATION AWARDS HISTORY
The Lucy V. Williams Foundation Award was established in 2018 to honor the mission and memory of Lucy Virginia Williams. This humble servant-leader dedicated her life to God, her family and serving others. The Lucy V. Williams Foundation Awards Dinner celebrates that legacy by spotlighting deserving people and organizations that are also doing great work in the community. VERDELL H. SANDERS
The Lucy V Williams Foundation presents the 2021 My Brother's Keeper Award to Verdell H. Sanders! The My Brother’s Keeper Award is given to a worthy individual who has provided service to the community and has made a direct impact on others lives. Verdell H. Sanders was chosen based on his 40+ years of service in the community and his record of service to others throughout his life. We appreciate Verdell for the service that he has given and the many lives that he has touched.
COUNTY COMMISSIONER MARK JERRELL
We are proud to present the 2021 Community Service Award to County Commissioner Mark Jerrell! This award is given to a worthy individual who has consistently provided service to the community. Mark was chosen based on his dedicated service to his district (District 4) as well as the hands-on outreach and info that he provides outside his district. We appreciate the service that he has given, the many lives that he has touched and the integrity he has while doing so.
DR. TAWANA ROSS
We are proud to present the 2021 LV Williams Music Ministry Award to Dr. Tawana Ross! This award is given to a worthy musician, vocalist or artist who consistently uses their gifts, voluntarily, in service to others. Dr. Ross was chosen based on her record of service, dedication to her music ministry and especially her service and ministry to young people. She is in the highways and hedges consistently and we appreciate her sincere love for God’s people and dedication to authentic ministry.
